In Honor Of Father’s Day: 5 Things That Are Raising Your Kids (Because You Aren’t)

Words by Tony Grands

Father’s Day is swiftly becoming a non-recognized holiday, like Grandparent’s or Secretary’s Day.

“Why?” you ask?Because with each passing year, the fatherhood train loses a little more momentum due to the lack of willing participants. It’s sad, but it’s true. Contrary to popular belief, dads are just as important in the healthy rearage of children as moms are. Truth be told, in 2013, the kids need us now more than ever. But that doesn’t change the fact that millions of kids are growing up without the luxury of having a dad within touching distance. It’s awe-inspiring.

Take a ride with me over at The Urban Daily to read about the other entities out there that are willing to raise the kids that we – as a collective of fathers – have left to fend for themselves.
