#InTheNews: Scott Storch Robbed For A Small Fortune, Issues Warning To Celebrities

Words by Miss Krissy

Remember Scott Storch? He became one of the top producers in the music industry in the early 2000s, working with and producing hit records for artists such as Beyoncé, 50 Cent, The Game, T.I., Chris Brown, Christina Aguilera, Dr. Dre, Nas, Snoop Dogg and Pink.

Despite all of his musical success, Storch became addicted to cocaine in 2006 and spent much of his fortune in a short time, forcing him to declare bankruptcy in 2009. He has also been romantically linked to Lil Kim, Kim Kardashian, and Paris Hilton over the years.

According to reports:

Two gunmen held up famed hip-hop record producer Scott Storch in Times Square Tuesday — taking over $100,000 in jewelry as well as a briefcase containing nearly $5,000 in cash, police sources said.

The brazen thieves pulled a gun on Storch, 39, and his 32-year-old companion at about 7 a.m. — moments after they got an SUV on W. 46th St. near Eighth Ave, the source said.

Police sources say the crooks ordered Storch to hand over his jewelry and briefcase and fled in a black SUV idling nearby, sources said.

Thankfully no one was harmed but, I for one think this sounds like a set up. Like, Storch, himself set it up. A broke producer walking around Time Square with 5K in cash and 100K in jelwery in a breifcase? Nawl! I call BS on this one. Only time will tell if this story was concocted or if it’s real life.

Regardless of authenticity, Storch appeared on MTV’s RapFix Live Wednesday, August 21, with a stern warning for all of the celebrities: “People are on the hunt right now. There’s a lot of chains and watches out there […] people gotta make sure their security is right.”

Not walking around littered with thousands of dollars in cash and jewelry may help also.
