#InTheNews: Aubrey Graham Has Some Choice Words For Kendrick Lamar

By now, everyone knows who Drake is and if you don’t, maybe you’ve been living under a rock somewhere. He’s been featured everywhere, from radio to GQ magazine to the Internet. In my opinion, while he’s not the best rapper out there, what he does comes off to me as very catchy and I find myself singing along.

Kendrick Lamar dropped his verse on Big Sean’s “Control” and a lot of the hip hop community at large was left with their panties in a bunch. One person who claims not to be fazed by it was Drake who has worked with Kendrick before on records such as “Poetic Justice.” Opinions vary on who had the better verse, but the song itself received nationwide spins, so apparently, they both won.

Drake did an interview with Billboard magazine where he discussed how he felt about the verse:

“I didn’t really have anything to say about it.”

Drake says of the verse, which has so far inspired responses from A$AP Rocky, Joey Bada$$, former Los Angeles Lakers coach Phil Jackson and too many others to count.

“It just sounded like an ambitious thought to me. That’s all it was. I know good and well that Kendrick’s not murdering me, at all, in any platform. So when that day presents itself, I guess we can revisit the topic.”

Drake’s cockiness is annoying but I guess it’s all fun and games in Hip Hip.

Who do you think would win a freestyle battle between Drake and Kendrick?

Kendrick hands down. Drake needs time, candles, dark room, incense, a bottle of pinot and possibly a female muse present to even get his mojo goin. I’ve seen him on an interview once with a radio station & they asked him to freestyle and the nigga pulled out his phone #fail no matter how hard of a rapper he or his die-hard fans think him to be, he’s still a paraplegic from Degrassi in my eyes. lmao
