Hip Hop Culture for Grown-Ups
We used to have names like Big Daddy Kane, Big Boi, Big Gipp, Big L, Big Mike, Big Noyd, Big Pooh, Big Pun, Big Suge, Big Syke, & for good measure, Notorious B.I.G.
Then we had names like Lil Twist, Lil Debbie, Lil B, Lil Ru, Lil Boosie, Lil Flip, Lil Mama, and Lil Fizz.
Now we have names like Yung Thug, Young Dro, Yung LA, Yung Lean, and Young Jeezy.
Does anyone see a pattern here or is it just me?
Hip Hop rap music gets, the younger it’s constituents become. And according to this schedule, we should see “Baby” rappers in the next few years.
Rap is a young man’s game, but sheesh…
